Major remodel of a modest ranch house in Los Angeles. Our client wanted to convert a detached garage into an ADU, and redesign the main house to create a feeling of more space. We combined the kitchen and the existing living room to create a large great room that offers ample space for family and guest gatherings. To give the house more light and volume, we introduced vaulted ceilings into the great room and used bright white colors throughout the house.
